The Book Club Cookbook and The Kids' Book Club Book websites are resources for book clubs, featuring book recommendations from book groups around the country, author recipes, book giveaways, author blogs, and newsletters. The Choose a Book - Invite an Author program allows readers to browse titles of interest to book clubs and invite authors to chat with their groups by phone. The featured books on our websites do not necessarily have a culinary tie-in: the goal of our sites is to connect readers with the best fiction and non-fiction titles for book clubs. Authors and publishers can find details of promotional opportunities on our website.
They were motivated to write their second book, The Kids’ Book Club Book, after librarians, parents, and teachers who attended their talks asked for a similar book for the growing number of youth book clubs across the country. During their eighteen months of research and writing on this trend, they were inspired by the enthusiasm and ideas of youth book club members, and the insights of notable children’s authors whom they contacted. Since the publication of their books, Judy and Vicki have launched two websites designed to bring authors and book clubs together. In addition to promoting The Book Club Cookbook and The Kids’ Book Club Book, these websites feature book club resources and offer opportunities for authors and publishers to promote books. The authors continue to participate in many book clubs,
both with adults and children. They enjoy speaking about book clubs,
and appreciate their ongoing conversations, both in person and via their
websites, with book and food enthusiasts across the country.
