Buzzing About Books provides an opportunity for authors and publishers to introduce new and forthcoming books to over 6,000 book club members, along with visitors of bookclubcookbook.com.

Each issue of Buzzing About Books features up to 5 books. Authors can include a brief letter to readers, book description, reviews, and links, and give away books to up to five book clubs.

The featured book, along with a destination link, is also promoted on the Home page and Buzzing About Books page of our website for one month. Each Buzzing About Books newsletter will also be posted on our website.

If you combine Buzzing About Books with another promotion, including Book Club Buzz, Choose a Book – Invite an Author, or display advertising with Author Recipe page, you’ll receive a 10% discount on the second promotion.

BOOK CLUB BUZZ BOOK GIVEAWAY CONTEST - $950.00*

Through the Book Club Buzz, authors and publishers can quickly reach over 6,000 book club members across the country through a dedicated direct email blast.   

The Book Club Buzz gives multiple book club members the chance to win copies of a book - and spread the word to fellow readers and book club members. Each author featured in the Book Club Buzz receives a permanent Featured Author Recipe page and the opportunity to participate in our Guest Author Blog.

Each contest is promoted through a dedicated email announcement, sent to over 6,000 book club members, featuring a photo of the book cover with links to the author’s website, blog and recipe page, and a brief synopsis of the book along with short review quotes. 

The book cover is also featured on the Home and Contest pages of bookclubcookbook.com for one month, and attracts regular online visitors of bookclubcookbook.com.

The author or publisher selects the number of books (50 or 75) to be given away, and sends the books directly to each of the winning book club members. The books may be paperbacks, hardcovers, or review copies. All names and addresses of book club members are the property of bookclubcookbook.com and may not be used for other solicitations.

Please note that our readers and subscribers enjoy books with food themes, but the featured books do not need to have a culinary tie-in. Our goal is to promote the best fiction and non-fiction titles for book clubs. We're happy to help authors develop recipes to accompany their promotions.

The contest is promoted in Book Bytes, our quarterly e-newsletter, and winners are announced on our website, accompanied by a book cover photo and website link. 

Two mailings per month are available for the Book Club Buzz.  These slots, available on the 1st and 15th of each month, must be reserved in advance.

*Members of the Choose a Book -Invite an Author program receive a $50.00 discount. Authors who choose not to include a recipe page will receive a 15% discount.

The Choose a Book - Invite an Author program gives authors a chance to promote their books to book discussion groups across the United States, as well as the opportunity to connect with book clubs around the country by telephone. Authors accepted into the Choose a Book - Invite an Author program, have their name, contact information, and a brief description of up to three of their books posted on our online directory of participating authors. Book club members contact authors directly to arrange a meeting time. We also announce authors’ participation in newsletters sent to our 6,000 subscribers. Choose a Book - Invite an Author includes fiction and non-fiction, as well as children’s and young adult titles.

FEATURED AUTHOR RECIPES  

Book clubs love recipes, especially when the recipes are connected to the books they're reading and discussing.  Authors whose books are featured in the Book Club Buzz or in display advertising on the Home page and recipe pages are invited to create a permanent recipe page on bookclubcookbook.com, featuring a recipe that a book club might prepare when discussing their book. Authors may submit a recipe for a food mentioned in the book, a period recipe, or a recipe that they associate with the story and its creation, along with a brief introduction.  The recipe does not have to be original; it can come from another source, such as a cookbook or magazine.

The author recipe is posted on the Featured Author Recipes page of our website. Featured Author Recipes remain permanently on the site for readers to enjoy.

GUEST AUTHOR BLOG

Our Guest Author Blog is available for authors whose books are featured in the Book Club Buzz, and who select certain display advertising packages. Authors may post blogs during the first two weeks of their Book Club Buzz promotion.
